When trying to install the 3 package files, eg affinity-photo-2.0.0.msix there was an error, see attached.

I think the error was related to the .msix extention.
I searched Microsoft for for an msix installer and found an installer/editor.

When I installed the packages the programs work fine.

But, the programs aren't in Programs or Programs (x86) - only the original v1.6

I think the packages need to be uninstalled and reinstalled??

Regards Allan

Hello All

I have an update.

After quite some research I found this on Microsoft. I tried to do what was in the video and found I didn't have MSIX Installer actually installed, so I installed it successfully, so it said. Once installed you won't see the program in the list anymore.

After installing I tried to install Affinity Photo and go the same error message, bummer.
I know I can install Affinity Photo using the MSIX Editor, which I have done. The question is should I actually do it? Am I going to have issues later? etc. I still have the other 2 programs to install.

There is a lot out there about MSIX, but a lot of it is old Windows 10 stuff and a lot is technical of which many Affinity users aren't technical and shouldn't have to go through with these issues if it happens to them. I believe Affinity themselves have probably struck the issue and should be interested to looking into the issue. Afterall we have spent good money for a product that should be install and go, not something that we have to spend weeks trying and testing, just to get it installed.

Rather than doing all that research, did you try following the instructions in the FAQ? If so, please tell us what happened at each step you tried.
