Huntclark Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 I copied a number of items with a Canon EOS 5d using Capture One 21 tethered. I utilized Capture One to straighten the copy images using the Keystone tool as well as the usual clarity and curves adjustments. The files were exported as a 350ppi 16 bit rgb, Adobe RGB (1998) icc profile. Using Affinity Photo 2 (2.0.3) I retouched unwanted artifacts. Problem: When I tried to save the files, some would save normally and some would not save (see attached screen shot). If I opted to save with layers, the file size jumped to 285 MB Even more frustrating is the fact that some of the files that would require the "save with layers", but after closing without saving and reopening, the file would save "normally" (that is without the requirement to "save with layers Also attached is a screen shot of file info comparing one such file that went both ways. With just one file, I would save as an .afphoto and export back to a .tiff but there are too many images in the job to make the extra step. Any guesses what is going on? ). I was not able to replicate the cause Quote
walt.farrell Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 There is an issue with Opening a TIFF file in Photo 2, editing it, and then using File > Save. Until it is fixed you should use File > Export instead. If you Save with Layers instead, you get a TIFF but it contains a .afphoto file and is much bigger, as you saw. This has been reported a number of times but has not yet been assigned a bug number and transferred to Development yet, as far as I can see.
