VNESSA
I followed this guide : And got Danish installed. But the auto-hyphenation is not working. I tried to install it again, but it dosen't work in Danish. The files are downloaded correctly. The Danish language appears in the language setting under the hypenation language field. But when I tried with the hyphenation in other languages like English and German, it works perfectly fine. Does anyone know how to fix this? walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Did you download the dictionary files using the directions in the first post in that FAQ, or did you download the actual files provided in the second post? It is easy to get the files in the wrong format if you just try to follow the directions in the first post. And even if the language shows up correctly in the Character panel options, I would still first suspect an error in the downloaded dictionary file because I've seen that several times. But it's easy to check by opening the hyphenation dictionary with a standard text editor. If it looks like plain text, not HTML, then it's probably good. If it's good, then possibly you need to adjust the Hyphenation settings, or possibly there's something wrong. I don't have any Danish text to play with, and would have a hard time telling if the hyphenation were correct even if I had some. If you could provide a sample .afpub document with some Danish text, and information on where you would have expected hyphenation, I'd be happy to look at it. VNESSA
Hi Walt. Thank you I have already reinstall the file, where I downloaded the file directly from GitHub. I have attached a screenshot of the file. It does say HTML in the file. Does it look right? I have attached a .afpub document with a random danish text from web to give you an example to test on. I want to justify my text to the left and use the auto-hyphenation, so I don't get to much spaces between the words. test-danish.afpub

No, that is definitely the wrong format. It should look like this: ISO8859-1 .ae3 .an3k .an1s .be5la .be1t .bi4tr .der3i .diagno5 .her3 (and more after this) You should download all three "da" files using the second post in that FAQ article. They are in the right format for you, without all the extra work you need to do to download correctly from GitHub.
