When placing a PDF file into Publisher document, Publisher stops working

When placing a PDF file into Publisher document, Publisher stops working - it doesn't crash, but it stops doing anything - can't save a document, can't create new pages, when attempting to switch pages the view doesn't change at all, etc.

If you close the document, Publisher stops responding, and can only be killed via Task Manager.

I was able to reproduce this every time.

Publisher V1 doesn't have this problem, works fine with the same PDF.

Can you share the PDF here, @Blake_S, or will you need a private upload link from one of the Serif staff?

Well today I can't recreate the issue either using the same files, so now uploading files would be pointless.
This is however after PC restart, so something might have changed in the system.
As far as I could tell when the Publisher was freezing I still had both free RAM and disk space, so its not that.
If I encounter the same issue again and it will persist after PC restart then I'll upload the files for testing.
