Karl - Heinz Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Hello, I wanted to open a file (pdf) of the ING-DIBA and got this error message Is it AFFINITY's fault or do I need to contact the bank? Thanks in advance Karl Heinz Quote
walt.farrell Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. That looks like the PDF is either encrypted or has a password associated with it. And if it came from a bank it is likely protected in at least one of those ways. You will probably need to use a different app to view that PDF. But it might help to know whether you were using Open or Place. I have a vague memory that simple password protection works with Open but not with Place. But it can also depend on the protection options chosen when the PDF was created. For example, a PDF can be constructed to allow viewing but not editing, and I think that can make a difference when using it with Affinity.
