Greg T Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Hi, I'm finding it hard to find a good iPad at a relativity low price with-in my budget. I have tons of Android devices. What Android software(s) is most compatible with Affinity? Quote

The mix between vector and raster is a major plus as to I plan to buy Affinity, but I really which they would create a Android 12 project for it. Quote
walt.farrell Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Thanks. That should help you get better answers. I can't suggest anything from personal experience, except searching the Play Store using those terms. fde101 Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 If you are looking for anything even remotely professional in scope, there really isn't much out there for Android, particularly for vector work. If you don't already have an Android device, and you don't want to subscribe to the Adobe stuff ($$$), I would suggest holding off until you can afford a real iPad, possibly a refurbished model if it helps. For raster stuff, GIMP and Krita are both out there, but they are the actual desktop apps, not optimized for a mobile experience, so they are maybe barely usable on a tablet, a bit better with a keyboard and mouse attached. As the desktop versions can both produce PSD files with layers that import into the Affinity apps just fine, I would imagine the Android versions can as well, though I have not gone through the exercise of transferring a file from my (very old) Android tablet to my Mac to verify that. There are apps called Infinite Painter and Infinite Design which look potentially promising, but they will not run on my tablet (tablet is too old) so I can't check them. Quote

Krita can be used on tablet devices with some settings changed. 4 fingers tap to hide docks, single tap and drag to pick colours, single tap to open quick brush and colour access, and there you have a very capable paint app that does every thing. For vector, try https://vectorink.io or concepts, infinite design not much options. Quote
