There's the History within a file, which is only saved with an Affinity document (.afpub, .afphoto, .afdesign) if you enable File > Save History with Document after you Open or create the file and before you do the Save. It works the same in V1 and V2. Or are you referring to Recent Documents, as in File > Open Recent? This is a very important function for me, because the thumbnails of these files can be quickly previewed only in Exposé, and the thumbnails of the recently opened files in the welcome interface of Designer need to be loaded for a long time. walt.farrell Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Thanks for the clarification. I'm hampered by not being a Mac user, and not knowing the proper term in English for Exposé, which have caused my confusion. I will defer to a Mac user Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Old Bruce Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 I have never really understood what is happening with the Expose function. It seems to vary by application, some show me what is in the File > Open Recent...>. Others show only the files which are still available, meaning that they have not been deleted. Still others show me files which were closed with, or without, saving and subsequently deleted. I don't know what the engineers at Apple were expecting this to do. As a result of my confusion I have never used it so I can't say that Affinity is showing normal or abnormal behaviour. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Staff Lee D Posted February 1, 2023 Staff Posted February 1, 2023 @gerley On my system using control + ↓ doesn't show any recent docs below the app window. I believe this is because one of the first things I always do is to sent the recent items to 0 as I don't like any displayed. On another system running Ventura and our V2 apps they show as recent items is being used. Quote
