jackamus Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Up until this morning if I selected an image to export as a jpeg and select Area>Selection Only, it worked OK but today it will only save the image as a whole document and not just the selection only. jackamus Posted January 8, 2023 Author Posted January 8, 2023 I have attached 3 screenshots. The first image is what I want to export. The second is the Export panel and the third shows how the image is saved as a whole document instead of just an area. Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed! I don't see anything selected there, so an export would have to get the whole document, I think. If you have selected the object to export, the Size fields in the Export panel will roughly match the canvas selection, adding only any non-transparent pixels outside the vector bounding box if you're exporting to a pixel format Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
jackamus Posted January 8, 2023 Author Posted January 8, 2023 Interestingly I did successfully export a another image as a jpeg as a selected area. There must be something in the original problem image that makes it appear to behave wrongly. I will inspect it further to see if I can find it. Thanks for all your help guys.
