Design_International Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 All the new V2 apps are installed, however when using Publisher V2, Studiolink between Photo V2 and Designer V2 doesn't work. It always says the below (see screenshot attached). Any ideas what could be causing this? Quote
walt.farrell Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Assuming you're on Windows, how did you install the applications? Did you use the intended installation method of double-clicking on the MSIX files to let the system install them properly? Or did you use some other approach? Poppem Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 I was having this issue too and noticed my Publisher had auto updated to the latest beta v2.2.0 whilst my Designer & Photo were v2.1.1's (latest at the time of this post) I reverted back Publisher v2.1.1 and studiolink worked as usual. So guessing it's a beta bug in my case. Leigh 1 Quote
Triplec Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 If anyone else has the same issue - I initially installed using the MSI/EXE download, which resulted in Publisher not seeing the Designer / Photo install. I uninstalled both Designer & Photo and re-installed using the MSIX option in the dropdown and Publisher then picked it up. I upgraded from v1 to v2 (universal license) and didn't see this specified anywhere, may have missed it though. JamesSurfer 1 Quote

Hello and welcome to the forums. This behavior occurs when the installers are mixed. Either use the MSI/EXE installer or the MSIX version for all Affinity programs. I had a problem installing the brand-new 2.5 trial version (100% certain to convert to paid). I could not get the apps to connect, then I saw this post and sorted it out!
