inkster Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Hi all, I want to create 100 pages that contain the same page content. I also want page numbers on them. So I have master A with page number on bottom R, master B with page number on bottom L. I also have master C with the content that will appear on all the pages. I can duplicate the first page, then while holding Alt key drag master C onto the page thumbnail (to add the master instead of replace the existing master)... But, to do this for 100 pages, is there a faster way to do this?? Also, I notice that if I am on no facing page setting, that duplicate a page with say master A, that this next page also has master A, which means the page number will be on the wrong side of the page. I can go to facing page setting, and then duplicate 2 pages to ensure that A and B alternate. But still, is there a way to duplicate the 2 pages 50 times in 1 click? Thank you! Quote
laurent32 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 You might first create your 100 pages with the first master : Then you could select all the pages created and apply the second master : Quote MacBook Pro 16 pouces (3456 × 2234), 2021 / Apple M1 Pro / 16 Go / macOS Ventura Version 13.4.1 (22F82) + 31,5 pouces (2560 × 1440) + 27 pouces (1080 × 1920) + iPad (8th generation) / iPadOS 17.2 + Apple Pencil + … Macmini6,2 Quad-Core Intel Core i7 16 Go / macOS Catalina version 10.15.7 (19H2026) MacBookAir6,2 Intel Core i5 double cœur 4 Go / macOS Big Sur version 11.7.7 (20G1345) Licence Universelle Affinity V2 updated to 2.3.0
inkster Posted January 6, 2023 Author Posted January 6, 2023 Hello, if I do this, then all pages will have master A, but i need alternating master A and B... Quote
firstdefence Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 You can select all the pages and then right click on the Master B page and select Apply Master To Pages, uncheck Replace Existing Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... laurent32 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 I read a little too fast… At the beginning you have to have a master that has 2 pages (left and right) for the page numbers… And then you should have a second master (for your content)… Beware when you apply the second master (all) : untick the "remplacer existant"… Quote MacBook Pro 16 pouces (3456 × 2234), 2021 / Apple M1 Pro / 16 Go / macOS Ventura Version 13.4.1 (22F82) + 31,5 pouces (2560 × 1440) + 27 pouces (1080 × 1920) + iPad (8th generation) / iPadOS 17.2 + Apple Pencil + … Macmini6,2 Quad-Core Intel Core i7 16 Go / macOS Catalina version 10.15.7 (19H2026) MacBookAir6,2 Intel Core i5 double cœur 4 Go / macOS Big Sur version 11.7.7 (20G1345) Licence Universelle Affinity V2 updated to 2.3.0
firstdefence Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Re page numbering you can have a Master A set as facing pages, so you effectively have a single Master Page with two pages, then all you need is the Master B Sample layout.afpub Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... inkster Posted January 6, 2023 Author Posted January 6, 2023 Thank you so much all, The secret to this as mentioned above in your replies is to create a master with 2 pages - didnt realise I could do that! I set the content and page numbers to this master, then added x number of pages with this as the master. Thank you Quote
