jimh12345 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 I'm just getting into 'raw' processing with AP, thinking I might wean myself off of Capture One entirely in the future. Things are working, although the workflow with the Develop persona is a little strange when I attempt to go back and forth. But it now takes me about 20 seconds to open a project file (during that time I see a highly pixelated image and can't do anything with it). My raw file is linked, not embedded. Is there anything I could do to speed this up? Quote

If it is on a slow hard or USB drive, or on a cloud service, that could affect how quickly it loads into AP. Corgi Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 AP processes the linked RAW file when it loads, and I think this is normal. I was actually able to do some things with the highly-pixelated preview while I was waiting for a full resolution linked image to finish loading (such as add adjustment layers). Embedding the RAW file will eliminate the delay, at the considerable expense of file size. Old Bruce 1 Quote
