Kathryn Rile Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 I purchased an upgrade to my Affinity software in early December during the sale. I am being asked for a product key to continue using the software, but i can't find it in the information from Affinity. Please help me locate the product key. It is necessary for my work flow that I can continue with the software. Thanks so much! Quote
walt.farrell Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 The application you purchased in December must be a version 2 application. But those applications do not use product keys, and would not ask for one. Please tell us where you made the purchase, and where you downloaded the software from, and show us the file name of the installer as shown in Finder (Mac) or File Explorer (Windows). And please show us the request for a product key. Kathryn Rile Posted January 4, 2023 Author Posted January 4, 2023 Thanks for getting back to me quickly. I purchased the product directly from the Affinity website for MAC and downloaded it onto my laptop: affinity photo 2.0, designer 2.0 and publisher 2.0. I do believe that I originally installed a trial and then quickly upgraded to purchase. Quote
walt.farrell Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 That looks like a prompt from the V1 applications. Again, it would help to see the name of the file that you downloaded. Kathryn Rile Posted January 19, 2023 Author Posted January 19, 2023 Thanks for all your help. I resolved the issue by deleting my old versions of the apps and then installing the new versions. I expected the new to overwrite the old, but that wasn't happening. Here in CA, the sun is again shining, Mercury and Mars are now stationed direct (very important to folks in CA! 😂), there is a temporary moratorium on flooding and power outages, and we are mopping up from the flooding. walt.farrell 1 Quote
