Photo v2 - Layer mask sub menu

Hello all,

I find I am loosing a small amount of time every time I want to add a layer mask on a layer. I like how this worked in V1: click and option click for an empty mask. Now it opens a sub menu.

May be you could figure a way to have both but give uses an option to add a layer mask to a selected layer without an additional click. I personally don't have use for the sub menu. So a toggle where I can set how this works, would work for me.

Hello, you can possibly create a shortcut. (In my case it's the 5 key on my numeric keypad)

Thank you for this suggestion. I've set up a short key for the new empty layer mask.

Hi - in the latest 2.1 beta we have now reverted behaviour of the mask button in the layers panel back to the same as V1. So one click to add mask, alt-click to add empty mask. There are more details in the post below and it would be great if you wanted to try it out in the beta and let us know what you think - you can sign up to the beta program here.
