In Photoshop, I can go through my layers, making each layer visible with one click option-[ or ].

So far with Affinity, I don't see it working the same way. option-[ or ] DOES select the next layer, but DOES NOT make it visible.

The reason the Photoshop method is useful for me is that I use layers to create animation (each layer a separate "frame") and I can quickly see the results of my work by doing option-[ or ].

Is there really no way to do this maneuver in Affinity? It seems that making any layer visible is alway a two step process.

There is a way to sort of do what you want. In the Layers panel, you can start with all layers invisible or visible. Then click on the Visible button, right-end of layer. Hold down the left mouse button and drag down the stack, ensuring you're going across each visible/invisible button (or show/hide button).

Kinda fiddly but maybe it'll work for you.

Yeah, I see what you mean. It's too clumsy. I need to be able to also go back and forth to study the motion.

But thank you. If nothing else I guess this tells me I can't do what I really need to do. That's a little disappointing.

I just gave up and transferred all the images to Photoshop and did what I had to do.

I think my new workflow is going to be: do as much as I can do in Affinity, but when I choke up, move over to Photoshop without worrying about it, and just get it done!

The only slight glitch in all that is Photoshop saves as TIF, and Affinity saves as TIFF. But at least both are readable by both!

EDIT: I just noticed you posted a video not just a screen shot. Thanks for going to all that trouble!
