I've been using V1 of the programs for years on my 2012 MacBook Pro, which I have just replaced with a Windows laptop (2022 Intel NUC M15).  When I looked at the V2 requirements on the Affinity site, it says the new machine meets all the requirements (including Direct3D level 12.0), but when I look at Affinity Photo on the Microsoft store, it says my PC doesn't meet the minimum required video memory (2GB minimum).  Strangely, on the Microsoft store Affinity Designer has the system requirements as minimum 1GB Video Memory but it has a green check mark next to it implying my machine meets this requirement.

But under Settings>Advanced Display my adapter properties show Dedicated Video Memory of 128 MB.  When I looked at other current laptops in a store, most upper-end models had 128MB, or at most around 500MB. Does this mean that the V2 programs won't work properly with mine or any of these laptops?

My new machine's specifications are:

Processor and Memory:
• 12th generation Intel® Core™ i7-1260P processor
• Intel® Evo™ platform
• 16 GB LPDDR5
Drives:
• 1 TB SSD
Display and Video Graphics:
• 15.6 in. FHD touchscreen display (1920 × 1080)
• Intel® Iris® Xe graphics

I've really enjoyed the Affinity products and hoping I can continue to use them.  Hoping that was an error on the Microsoft store and I will be okay to run them on the new machine?

Thanks

Welcome!

Why don't you for sureness first tryout with a 30-day trial of Designer & Photo?

Further see for a Lenovo Yoga (which also uses an Intel Iris Xe GPU, but you probably have to disable OpenCL for it) ...
