GuyMiklos
Perhaps this is a monitor issue, but it happens on both my screens. (screen ID in footer). I coloured a text backgroud for a sub-script text in text box, then next to it a coloured rectangle. When zooming in and out, I noticed that their relative heights changed at different zooms, sometime the backgroud was bigger than the rectangle, sometimes smaller. Here I got them almost the same. The difference confounds working in different zoom modes, because the 100% zoom can be difference after working at a detailed level. See attached file, Artboard 3. Old Bruce
I see what you mean. I also have to say that that is an odd way of doing this. I would have used two rectangles grouped with a text frame. Here is my take on the number three artboard. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Lots of choices. I think I would get rather confused with so many objects that are not being displayed. But I see the principle of grouping two coloured boxes and a transparent text as simpler, yes. My "odd" way of doing it was due to an attempt to get the connecting lines to following the text. The attempt failed, but left me with text with a background colour. Then I added the second colour bar as a shape and found that scaling text and shape together didn't work properly.
