I know Microsoft has taken over the world with their brand of office software but the main open-source suites should possibly be supported as well. Rich Text Format might also be useful. Yes, we can save from Libre Office as Docx but risk losing information in the transfer. Yes, it would be nice to have support for ODT, but the DOCX support in LibreOffice is pretty good (even if they do give you a big warning when you try it). I was wondering if there might be any possibility of supporting Word-perfect files. I know it's not as widespread use as Word but many legal professionals still use it. grunnvms Posted February 13 Share Posted February 13 I agree. Just like pdf, Open Document Format is an official ISO standard, while DocX is a propiarty standard. In fact, you can set MS Word to produce .odt files as standard. Governments may require Open Office documents as standard form. Given that Affinity is a low-budget product, it should directly support formats used by people and organisations that typically use similar free or low-cost products, so I agree.
