capsLOCK
Hi everyone I've been trying to not let this get to me, but now it has become too annoying for me to not raise it. You see, the issue I have is that the Affinity Publisher icon on the taskbar is a completely different size to Affinity Designer and Photo. The icons are fine on the Start menu in Windows 11, so why are they different for the taskbar? Hope one of the developers can take a look and amend. Apologies that it's not a functional issue but for a designer, it's just 'niggly'. AITCH

deeds
Feel like this makes the case for a redesign, too... Pencil, Shutter, Page Curl... seems like the obvious thing it should be. Not sure what the four bands signify.
capsLOCK
I thought you were on to something there @Stepaan as my display is scaled to 150% when using 4K monitors. I noticed from your screenshot that you're using 'Dark' mode on Windows 11. I switched to that and lo and behold, the icon is fixed. It's just something to do with light mode. It looks like the icon is being swapped somehow when switched to light mode and the scaling is wrong. On 12/28/2022 at 2:47 PM, Stepaan said: It must be something related to your machine. I couldn't really see the pencil before now, I had just assumed it was a triangle. I can definitely see the shutter for Photo though. AnBö
The behavior is exactly the same for me. Both on my laptop (FullHD or 4K) and on my desktop PC (4K). Scaling is at 150% in both cases. Everything is fine in dark mode. Only the Affinity Publisher 2 icon is affected. AITCH
jacobj
Same issue for me - light mode only, Affinity Publisher only. AITCH

Horys
I only confirm the issue with Publisher icon in a light mode scaled to 150 % in Windows 11. Please, Serif, have a look at it. Thanks!
AnBö
See screenshot, I found another app with the buggy behavior. It is the app "Remotedesktop" (from the Microsoft Store). Manufacturer is ... Micorsoft. (Well, they should actually know … 🙂)
HelmutW
Same here. Light theme, 150%. After a couple of updates to 2.04 no fix yet. Disappointing, the evil A-company has no problems to display icons correctly.
AnBö
It seems to be OK now. It is still the same version of Affinity Publisher (2.0.4). Maybe a Windows Update fixed it. (Now only the Remote Desktop icon on the left is wrong. But even this icon looks different, it is bigger now.)

Oh, you're right, Pšenda. So, only the icon size seems to be fixed. Its transparency is still buggy. Compare it to the icon of the Remote Desktop App (the red circle). It is bigger now, but still has a gray background. Same behavior here.
Doug.S
Has anyone figured out how to change the default Affinity icons on win 10 taskbar? There is no "properties" to select to change the icon (like was available for ver. 1). I'd like to use my own icons like I do on other programs icons on the win taskbar.
