As I have both v1 an v2 I tried to export a simple project to pdf. The little PNG-Logo is not sharp. Tried PDF Export V1 - no problem. Sharp and ready to print.

PDF Export is still a great BUG!!!!

Please can you upload the PNG log and the .afdesign file you have a problem with.

What size and DPI was your document set to when you imported the PNG logo?

What are the pixel dimensions of your PNG logo?

How did you have the new export settings in V2 setup?

The Lien Art logo is placed inside the document at 9342 ppi. On export it is downsampled to 300 ppi.

There's the difference.

If you want it tack sharp, better vectorise it first in Inkscape.

Ok here is one possible solution as your document DPI is to low.

Go to Photo mode, select Document -> Resize Document and ensure Resample is selected. Change this up from 300 to say 600 or 1200 give the logo a higher resolution.

The DPI change under Pub mode does not resample the image, the photo resize does have this option.

Your logo is less than 1cm tall at 300 DPI which equates to only 100dots/cm which is why it looks pixelated. Changing DPI to 1200 gives you 472 pixels per cm.

The Problem is - it should get to print. I need to export the file in 300 DPI - Print ready. In Affinity V1 it works - no workaround or resize to do. Reopening the v1 file in v2 - works again. Logo is sharp and PDF - Export possible without problems. As I only have the file in PNG there is noch vektor-option. So I have to do the stuff in V1. It's not a big thing but I hade to do this twice. Also had problems with a magazin - pdf - export and that's in my case the main reason to choose Affinity - Print-Ready-Documents.

Strange you get better results in V1. I obviously I can't open your V2 document in V1 but a new V1 document I created with your logo at 1cm  tall, when printed out in V1 at 300 DPI still looks quite pixelated.

In the V1 document, the logo is eight times as wide as in the V2 document: 85 vs 10 mm. Therefore 8 times more pixels on export.

I took the liberty to vectorise the logo in Inkscape. Hope it's usefull.

@RM f/g is correct, your v1 document is 1.7 metres wide ! your V2 document is 17cm wide which is 10 times smaller and therefore 10x more pixelated.

Something else to consider: anything over 300 ppi will likely get lost in the printing screen.

Yes true that was my mistake. It was an „0“ too much. Did not recognize that. Your solution though, resizing the picture worked for an sharp export.

Thank you very much for finding the failure and especially the expenditure of time.
