R C-R
Edit > Inpaint is an alternative to using the Inpainting Brush Tool. It automatically inpaints a pre-made pixel selection. It won't have any obvious effect if the entire layer is selected (because there is nothing outside the selection to use as an inpainting source). So to see how it works, you can make a small pixel selection with one of the selection tools, for instance the Freehand Selection Tool, & use that menu item to see what it does. I'm not sure how the Edit > Fill > History item works. Yes, it apparently uses the undo brush source set in that panel for the fill. Not sure how useful that would be.... walt.farrell 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.5.5 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
