edit>fill options inpaint/history what they mean?

edit>fill options inpaint/history what they mean? i know how inpaiting brush works but i dont understand this. and i know what is history but still no luck understanding and i honestly want use programs all possible ways. and i prefer text not video ansvers. based my personal limitations.

Edit > Inpaint is an alternative to using the Inpainting Brush Tool. It automatically inpaints a pre-made pixel selection. It won't have any obvious effect if the entire layer is selected (because there is nothing outside the selection to use as an inpainting source). So to see how it works, you can make a small pixel selection with one of the selection tools, for instance the Freehand Selection Tool, & use that menu item to see what it does.

I'm not sure how the Edit > Fill > History item works.

I think that works in conjunction with the Snapshots panel.

Thanks for the hint! Yes, it apparently uses the undo brush source set in that panel for the fill. Not sure how useful that would be....
