Publisher 2.0.3 on ipad adjustments on other layers

Hi I reported this before on Version 2.00 an I thought it was solved, but it is not.

When I adjust a photo with photo persona other layers are also adjusted. Even when I lock the layer it is changed. The blue background should not be changed. This problem only occurs on ipad not on Mac.

How did you apply the adjustment, and what layer did you apply the adjustment to? If you simply switched to the Photo Persona and applied it to the page then all layers on the page are affected. 

Can you share a sample .afpub file?

Hi, your group has no contents, move your image layers and curve adjustment into the group like this.

Thanx Paul, but the problem is not the group, on ipad I made a new version without groups.

on ipad it is not possiblle to adjust the picture without to adjust the blue background. When I open the same file, that I created on ipad, on Mac i works as it should, so I think it is a bug on ipad.

Your adjustment is not nested to the picture, which means it will affect everything below it. Just nest it to the image you want it to affect.

Sorry but your group is badly formed, it has no contents. As Walt and I have both showed/said you need to nest the curve adjustment with either the image you want or if you want both images affected you need to group the images with the adjustment.

Also check your “ASSISTANT” settings are the same on Desktop and iPad. In particular I think you will find this setting needs adjusting as shown on the iPad.

YEEEES, I think this is the solution. Thank you very much.

But it means, that on ipad the default setting is not the same than on the mac-version.

And also in Designer we have the same different default settings on ipad and on Mac. 

I don‘t understand why you do this, but now I can change it.

Walt and I are simply users like yourself so not sure why the Serif developers chose defaults which are different but it isn’t critical.

This is because it is important to understand how to place adjustments and filters correctly to achieve the effect you require.  

Having nested adjustments affecting individual layers and also having adjustments affecting all layers below is quite common in the same document.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I'm unsure why there is a difference here so I'm getting this logged with our development team now
