It appears that you are dragging your Symbol into a placed copy of the Symbol. So you would have a symbol inside a symbol inside a symbol inside a symbol inside a .... to infinity and beyond. This is because you have the Rectangle selected before you start to drag the symbol.

I am not going to try and nest a symbol inside of itself. That is something I believe will cause a crash. An infinite number of symbols is the result.

The problem is that you still can, e.g. if you group a symbol instance with itself and move the group inside, or – more realistically – if the instance is already part of another group.

Only for Mac.

You will have to inspect yourself on your own iMac or MacBook you will see crash Affinity app follow my YouTube video and they need to fix code resolve please.
