Branlid Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 How do i replicate what he does in this video but on my Ipad. When i use these curves absolutely NOTHING happens. Can anyone help me here? Quote
loukash Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 First of all, you are adjusting the source curve. That's why it doesn't work. You have to adjust the destination curve instead. Secondly, the guy in the video makes it unnecessarily complicated by rasterizing things. No need to rasterize or merge down anything, all layers can remain live, including text, and edit non-destructively. The simple trick to apply the blend range to the text layer including the live Displace filter is to group the text layer with itself and apply the blend range to the group: That's with Affinity v1 on Mac, but it works the same on iPad. loukash Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Also, for the destination blend range, there's no "universal" curve setting. You have to try what works best, depending on the source and the destination. Experiment! loukash Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 And last but not least, also Liquify is available as a live filter:affinity.help/photoipad/en-US.lproj/pages/Filters/filter_liquify.html So no need to apply it destructively either.
