rdkill59 Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 I can only run 1 v2 app at a time on my desktop. When I run Designer 2, it opens with no issues, linked to my account. But if I try to open Photo 2 with Designer also open, it brings up the license activation page and when I put in my info, it says "Please try again in a moment". I close Designer and open Photo, and it opens with no issues, but I can't open either Designer or Publisher while Photo is running due to the license activation issue. Maybe I'm missing something simple, but I haven't run into this issue before now. Quote
walt.farrell Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 What OS do you use, and where did you download the apps, and where did you purchase the license, and what kind of license? rdkill59 Posted December 22, 2022 Author Posted December 22, 2022 I use Windows 11. I downloaded the apps from the store.serif.com site where I also purchased the Affinity V2 Universal License. Quote
Smithoriginal Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 The exact same thing is happening to me and I also use Windows 11 I also downloaded the apps from the store.serif.com site and I also purchased the Affinity V2 Universal License . Quote
Ron P. Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 Quote If you don't sign in to your account, you will be prompted to purchase again, even though you have technically bought a license. This is due to limitations with the Mac App Store/the Microsoft Store that are beyond our control. However, by registering your Affinity V2 Universal License in your Affinity account it will then allow you to use your license on any Version 2 Affinity application on any operating system, including iPadOS. I found this on Serif's website under support https://store.serif.com/en-us/help/ Have you tried signing into your account? Smithoriginal Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 I've signed into my account and I am still only able to run one application at a time even with the universal license. I can run all the programs but only individually. If I try to switch internally from designer to edit something in photo, I receive the error described above. I've also tried opening two programs independently and I get the same error. This is with version 2.0.3 Quote
rdkill59 Posted December 24, 2022 Author Posted December 24, 2022 Same as above. I also logged in to my account and still have the issue. Quote
walt.farrell Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 How did you install the apps? Was it a standard install by double-clicking on the MSIX file to install them? And then, to run them, you're using the Windows Start menu? Smithoriginal Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 The same installation for me (MSIX) and then I downloaded the updates through the programs Quote
Staff Lee D Posted February 21, 2023 Staff Posted February 21, 2023 Are you still having issues with having multiple V2 apps open at the same time. Please make sure all V2 apps are fully up to date and if you purchased the Universal Licence you want to be activating/registering in the app you purchased the licence through (If applicable). Quote
rdkill59 Posted February 21, 2023 Author Posted February 21, 2023 Yes, the problem is solved. I had to uninstall and reinstall all apps. They seem to be working fine now. Thanks Quote
