genkin Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 I never see if my layer visibility is on or not. This dot is so subtle that I have to click on it every time I want to know if the visibility of my layer is turned off or on which slows down my editing significantly... Why the heck not use the universal eye as a symbol, like every website with the password visibility does..? Rowanfreemaker, loukash, deeds and 1 other 4 Quote

Intuos5 Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 I agree, an eye icon would be slightly more indicative. Also more visually pleasing imo. genkin 1 Quote

Personally, I definitely don't agree with that, but that's a matter of opinion 🙂 Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.5.7.2948 (Retail) Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 24H2, Build 26100.2605. Rowanfreemaker Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 (edited) I truly agree that an "eye" or checkbox would be better than this "dot". Maybe red for layer off and green for layer on. In addition, wtf did they do to the tool icons. They appear as little more than flat cartoonish icons now; reminds me of my Paint-Shop Pro days long ago. The version one tool icons had more depth and looked more professional; at least to me anyway. Please SERIF bring them back but keep all of the functionality of V2. And let's use a "chain link" icon for linked layers. I hate having to open layer-groups to see just which layers are inside. Sorry for the rant on the reply to your concerns Edited January 2, 2023 by Rowanfreemaker WKansepa 1 Quote

Pšenda Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 ... regardless of the obvious fact that the V2 icons are deliberately decolored (see e.g. Stroke panel), and suddenly the colors would be put back there again. Rowanfreemaker Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 What does that mean -- "and suddenly the colors would be put back there again." A bit confused on that statement Quote
