Allow moving/zooming the canvas when creating font style

Hi!

Basically, as the title suggests, you can't move/zoom when creating/editing a font style so if you need to make minute adjustments you need to apply them, zoom in/out etc. to view the changes and restart editing once you've checked how it looks.

 

It would actually be great if you could make it so that the canvas can always be moved/zoomed in/out when there is another internal program window opened. Thank you!

Edit Text Style is a modal dialog so you're not supposed to be able to do anything outside of it while it's open but if you have a trackpad, you can pinch to zoom in and out, at least on macOS. I don't think you're supposed to be able to do this since Cmd+Scroll Wheel doesn't work.

Another approach might be not to use the Edit Text Style dialog at all - simply place the cursor in a paragraph formatted with the paragraph style you want to tweak, or select a range of text formatted with the character style you want to tweak, and then tweak away with the Paragraph or Character panels. Once you have it the way you like it then click the hamburger menu to the right of the style name in the Text Styles panel and choose Update <style name>. This will update the style to match the formatting attributes you just changed. This way you can do all your formatting tweaks without that big dialog box open.
