Alex_M
Affinity Photo 2.0.3 removes parts of the image where the alpha channel is when I paste it or create a new document via "New from Clipboard". This didn't happen with the first release of Affinity Photo v2. How do I revert back to the old behaviour? Since V1 was already doing it, it must be a bug that was fixed in version 2.0.3. P.S. Was the alpha channel in 2.0.0 really all over the "uncut" part of the image? Alex_M
This has never happened to me in the 4 years I've been using Affinity Photo since version 1. Yes, the parts that are cut out are exactly where the alpha is. Alex_M
Hi, I still have this problem with the latest version 2.0.4 . When I copy an image to clipboard from 3ds Max, Affinity Photo removes the parts where the alpha channel is when I paste it. I want the old functionality where it keeps all parts of the image. This is really slowing down my workflow having to constantly save the images to disk instead of copying them to the clipboard. Alex_M
Here are some screenshots. First image is in 3ds Max, 2nd one is what happens when I copy it to clipboard and paste it in Affinity Photo. Notice the sky is gone. If I want to remove the alpha channel, I will do it myself, I don't need Affinity Photo to do it for me without asking. walt.farrell 1 Quote Affinity Photo 2.4.2 for Windows ◾ OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 ver. 22H2 ◾ CPU: AMD Ryzen 7950X 16-core ◾ RAM: 64 GB DDR5-6400 ◾ GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Suprim X 24GB / driver 526.98 ◾ NVMe SSD Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB ◾ Monitors: 2x Eizo ColorEdge CS2420 24"
Doc_WP
I have a similar problem. If I copy a photo from a program called PhotoFiltre and paste it into Infinity Photo 2 the picture will not show, I simply see the frame when i select it. If I try with "New from clipboard" the whole picture looks like your sky. If i try paste as I can choose between device independent bitmap and device independent bitmap v5, both with the same above result. No problems with the same clipboard picture when using Infinity Photo 1, there I can paste and see the picture. Alex_M
Alex_M
Hello??? Any developer could chime in? I am really disappointed by the lack of communication. Are Serif on vacation or something? It's been 2 months now and still not a word from the developers on this issue. That's not the way to treat paying customers. Staff Lee_T Posted March 1, 2023 Staff Share Posted March 1, 2023 Hi Alex_M, This has been logged with the devs, in the meantime EXR exported as below can be used as a workaround which should show this correctly. Lee Alex_M
