AsbjoernRavn
Hello, I’ve had a reoccurring problem with loading files in the new Affinity Designer 2. Some files it seems won’t open – it just says loading for hours, and I have to do a hard shut-down of the program. I’ve tried several times with several different files, and the problem persists. Some files it can open without issue - even when trying to load one of the files it can't open. It happens both if I click open on the files in explorer and if I open the files from Affinity Designer. This started in version 2.0.0 but persist in v 2.0.3. I've tried re-installing, restarting PC, still nothing. I’ve attached a couple of the files in question. The files ASC_2023 and ASC_2023_pink does not work. The file ASC.afdesign does work. System: Microsoft Windows 11 Hime 10.0.22000 Build 22000 x64 Intel Core i59300H CPU @ 2.40GHz, 2400 MHz, 4 cores, 8 logical processors Intel UHD Graphics 630 & NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 16 GB RAM Problem persists with Hardware acceleration on/off ASC_2023.afdesign ASC_2023_pink.afdesign ASC.afdesign

Choose in the context tool bar artbord: document Hi Komatös, Thank you. This workaround gets me the ablity to see the file. However, I am unable to edit it still, when using 'Edit Document', nor can I save it as a different file. I simply cannot make changes to the (now embedded) document - it does not answer to any tool's command.
Dan C
Hi @AsbjoernRavn, Thanks for your report and our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here. We are exceptionally busy following the release of V2 and we thank you for your continued patience and understanding here. I can confirm I'm able to replicate the issue with your files here, including trying to recover the document in Publisher unsuccessfully, and therefore I am logging them with our developers for further investigation. Can you please confirm for me, do you recall the last steps taken in these documents, before the file would no longer load? Many thanks in advance
