Annfinity Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 Hello, I'm freaking out. I've been working on a cover design for a few weeks now in Affinity Photo. And it seems in my last edit, I accidentally rasterized all the layers of the face I've been putting together into one pixel. Maybe I started working on the Group instead of a single layer without realizing and it automatically rasterized without me realizing. I just opened up the file to start working on the design and couldn't find the hair layers, only to realize the "Face" group is now one single pixel layer! Please, is there any way to undo this? Or am I doomed and have to start from scratch? Quote
Brian_J Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 The only way to recover previous document states requires taking action before the document is closed — saving history with the document or creating a snapshot. Other options to recovering a previous version of the file are: 1) Windows File History if you’re on Windows and have the feature enabled; 2) your computer’s backup. Annfinity Posted December 18, 2022 Author Posted December 18, 2022 @walt.farrell I think I've learned my lesson to do that going forward. I don't know why I've never thought of doing that before. walt.farrell 1 Quote

Serif has not heard the proposal for a better and clearer management of Assistant messages for the user, so I prefer to disable some of the Assistant's actions. 5 hours ago, Annfinity said: Please, is there any way to undo this? Not using the cloud for data storage/sharing? Some services (like OneDrive) offer file history/versioning.
