  1. The problem occurs with Affinity Photo, v2.00, the latest version at this moment.
  2. It is easy to reproduce: import the attached watermark macros into Photo V2 and attempt to edit or use one of them. These macros still work with Photo V1.
  3. It happens with any document.
  4. The problem occurs on Windows 10. Hardware acceleration is ON, but probably irrelevant.

I find Affinity macros a bit opaque to edit. The first macro step is "Set text stylesheet". I can't see what the text stylesheet is set to. Presumably, it points to my watermark file. You won't have an equivalent file, but whether the file is present or not, the program should not crash, and it should be less likely to crash when editing the macro (as opposed to trying to use it).

Clicking on the macro does not cause a crash if no document is open. Create a document, click on the macro, and the program consistently crashes.

Any macro that uses File > Place (e.g. a watermark) will crash in v2.0.0

This has been fixed in 2.0.3 beta

You can download and use that or wait until it is out of beta

(or rewrite the macro using something like copy/paste)

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
