Open Affinity Photo on iPad. On the Home Screen, left hand side near bottom of screen is Account. Tap this to login/activate licence. kimaldis
This soluution doesn't work for me. I've purchased the app on the app store, I fire it up and get presented with a screen with three option; "Activate, Already Purchased", "Start a trial" and "want to purchase". I hit "Activate" in "Already purchased and it takes me to a login screen needing an email & password. There is nothing that allows me to create an account. Whee do I go now? kimaldis
So I went over to the macbook, purchased Affinity for Mac and created an account using the same email as I use in the App store to purchase the iPad version. Affinity works on the mac. but I can't activate the iPad version with the new account, see below.
DM1
Just start as trial. Login or create account via Account option and you should see activate if you have licence. If you haven’t created a store account you will need to do so. It’s a different login to forum account. This may help. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). kimaldis
For the sake of clarity, here's what happened: 1. I paid for and downloaded Affinity Photo 2 to my iPad. At that time I had no store account. 2. I ran it, it presented me with a page offering 3 options. I chose the Activate option under 'Already Purchased' 3. It asked me for my email (Affinity ID) and password. At that time I had no store account and there was nowhere on the page to create one. Nor was there any place to create an account on the website. 4. So, I purchased Affinity for MacOS, in doing so creating an account. Affinity now works on the Mac. 5. I then tried, back on the iPad, to activate the iPad version using the login details from the store account created on the mac. It returns with "Activation unsuccessful" The account doesn't have a valid license for Photo 2. So, I have a store account, iPad Photo is rejecting it. What next? I don't understand why this needs to be so complicated. Every app on the App store, I pay for it, I download it, I use it. Why not with this app? I suggest reading through the linked info in the first post and trying that. Billy Hayes
I bought the app on the Apple app store before I had an Affinity account. Now I can't see where I can create an account to activate it. On the website and in the app whenever I use the account menu option, it only offers me to login with my existing account and does not give an option to create an account. So I bought the software, but I am unable to activate it because I don't have an account and can't figure out how to make one. Very frustrating. I can see a universal license against your Affinity ID, did you manage to resolve this or do you still need guidance?
XavierEh
I have the same issue, I just bought the universal licence on a Mac laptop via Apple Store, and now I am unable to create an affinity account. I can only buy or enter a login which I cant create... wtfh ?!? Edited February 8, 2023 by XavierEh
XavierEh
Ok I found the solution. I had to go back to Affinity Photo 2 and re-do the purchase a second time. Man, this has been a terrible experience
