Gemini80 Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 As the subject title says, Can I 'snap' nodes when using Warp FX? I think the perspective tool warping functions are great but I would like to snap nodes to the grid for some applications but I have not figured out how to do this in conjunction with the Warp FX? All tips would be great! Thanks for any and all help! Quote

As far as I am aware there is no way to snap to a grid at this present time. Gemini80 Posted December 15, 2022 Author Posted December 15, 2022 Thanks for your reply! I know about 'option' clicking nodes - but I am having difficulty selecting only the outer nodes - is there a way to do this!? Thanks! Quote

Hold down the Alt/Option key while dragging is supposed to work. firstdefence Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Using the Node Tool, drag a selection around the outer nodes, this will select the inner nodes too Now hold down CTRL and drag a selection around the inner nodes, this will deselect the inner nodes Gemini80 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... Alt/Option activates the Lasso selection, the way to do use the lasso selection in this instance is to draw a lasso around the outer node in a clockwise direction; this selects the inner nodes too, and while still holding the Alt/Option key down move the cursor inside the outer nodes circle and drag the cursor around the inner nodes in an anti-clockwise direction, you'll see what happens if you manage to get my instructions right. No idea if this would work in the Windows versions, but in the Mac versions, holding down the Control key subtracts nodes from the selection, so one way to do this fairly quickly is to use CMD+A to select all the nodes, then hold down both the Control & Alt/Option key to drag a lasso around only the inner nodes to remove them from the selection. firstdefence and Gemini80 2 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.6 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7
