Persona data retention

Recommended Posts

I'm new to the V2 suite of products and have two questions related to using Personas…

1. When I'm in Publisher and use the Photo Persona to edit a placed image, are the changes saved within the .afpub? I ask because I noticed the original photo file is unaltered but within Publisher the changes are still apparent.

2. Is there a way to save the altered image from within Publisher to a new external file?

Thanks!

1. Only if the image is embedded.

2. It would not be just the image. If the image is linked then the original would be altered by editing. There is no way to "export" only the image. You could export the Page(s) it is on but it would not be an .afphoto or .afdesign file.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.2
Affinity Designer 2.3.1 | Affinity Photo 2.3.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.3.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thanks, Old Bruce.

The Resource Manager screen doesn't show the altered images as linked or embedded. They are simply not there. That seems strange to me.

I just did a test where I located a linked image from within the Resource Manager, then edited the image slightly in Persona Photo, and looked for the linked image in the Resource Manager and it was gone.
