Affinity 2 Loading RAW files

Recommended Posts

When I try to load a RAW document in Affinity 2 a message appears in the the top right hand corner saying downloading document

Nothing happens for over half a minute just blank screen

Then a message appears across the top of the screen saying Affinity 2 not responding

Then the document immediately appears

What's going on

Yes, I see that it tells us Loading 1 Document or however many it's loading, which at least there's some feedback as to what's happening when we don't immediately see the open document.

I've not seen AP go to Not Responding while opening documents. I've tested this by opening documents (images, RAW & JPEG,) on my local drive and external drives.

The time it takes Serif have stated is due to the De-noise being done in the background while loading. They're changing that, so the file loads, then the background de-noise is done.
