roofoo Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 I can't update to v1.10.6 on Windows, all 3 apps (Photo/Designer/Publisher) have the same problem. I get a Setup Failed message. It says "The cabinet file 'Main.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package." I've tried rebooting, I've tried right clicking the .exe and running as Administrator, and I've tried redownloading in case the internet hiccuped. Nothing helps. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks Quote
walt.farrell Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 Sounds like the downloads were not successful. I would suggest downloading again. If still unsuccessful, perhaps try a different browser to do the download. walt.farrell Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 You can check the integrity of the installer .exe files. If you right-click on it, and choose Properties: a. Is there a Digital Signatures tab? If not, the download is corrupted. b. If there is a Digital Signatures tab, select it, and click on the signature, and choose Details. If it is not "OK" then the download is corrupted. Karel Kadeřábek Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 I have same error window, but mine says "The older version of Affinity Photo cannot be removed..." It cannot be remover neither via windows. Is there a possibility to force installer to run in some "repair mode" instead of "Update" which doesn't work? Thank you, Karel. Quote
Komatös Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 (edited) Hi @Karel Kadeřábek Please Download the Microstoft Problem Solver. After downloading make a double click on the .cab file.
