Karma Tsering Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Uploaded and installed version 1.10.6 today of Affinity Photo on a Windows 11 computer and it crashes repeatedly. Freezes on the screen first then it just shuts down itself. No warning messages. Edited files can sometimes be recovered on restarting but not always from where you left off. Is this a problem with this version? All other software by other providers works fine so it is just Affinity Photo that is the problem. Lots of memory on the computer and the processor isn't working hard. Is this a bug in the version? Quote
MikeTO Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 (edited) Hi Karma and welcome to the forum. You've probably figured this out by now but if not, Microsoft made a change in a Windows update which caused a lot of crashing in Affinity 1.10.6 1.0.5. Serif released 1.10.7 1.10.6 shortly before you posted this question which resolved the issue. If you haven't already, please install this update and try again. If you're still experiencing the same crashes with 1.10.7 1.10.6 then please reply back here.
