Affinity Photo: How can I auto-select black or white in an image, and change it to a different color?

Recommended Posts

I would probably use "Select Sampled Color" to automatically select black or white, but it doesn't seem like I can use adjustment layers to change the color of black or white. I guess that's because black and white aren't considered colors, so adjustment layers to change the color won't work on them. What method would you recommend for changing the color of black and white?

Thank you for your help!

After you made your selection,

  • add a pixel layer
  • use paint brush
  • choose your color
  • paint in the selected area with your color. You can use a large brush.
  • or use fill tool
