Nihilism
Okay I'm just a hobbyist and mostly use Photo (v2 now)for touching up my photos, but I'm trying to make some Xmas cards and running into a problem. I want to fit words into a manually created shape as shown in the picture and would like the word to auto-fit to fill the shape. So in the example the M would be large enough to reach from one curved line to the next below it, and then the E (to the right) would be smaller but still go from top curved line to the bottom curved line and so on to fill the rest of the shape. I'm having difficulties first of all pasting the text into the curved shape. It always seems to appear somewhere on the outside and all the same size no matter where I click. I've tried converting the shape to curves, and converting to text frame without success. I think that should be a basic function or fairly easily achieved and my google and forum searches haven't turned up anything to match this question, but maybe I'm missing something really obvious. I do have Designer v1 but didn't see a way to achieve this in there either. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. Peter
loukash
In Photo you can use the Live Mesh Warp, but it's a pixel effect so it will stretch the text as blurry pixels. The better idea is to use the vector Warp Group in Designer 2: Edited December 11, 2022 by loukash Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

Nihilism
Thank you both very much. I guess I'm not quite as stupid as I feared. I was aware of the Mesh Warp but thought there might be a vector way to do it. It also explains why I couldn't do it in ADv1. Have a very merry <insert appropriate holiday> and Happy New Year! 🧑🎄 loukash
