measurement tool: inconsistent numbering scheme in drawing scale input fields

I work in German language. All numeric inputs (e.g. Transformation panel) require user input with comma "," as decimal separator. If i type a number with dot "." this is interpreted as the german thousands separator. This is according to the german numbering scheme.

E.g. this is correct in German: "100,5" will be parsed as 100.5, "100.5" will be parsed as 1005.

But if i want to enter a numeric value in the little header popup dialog i have to enter the number with "." as decimal separator. Input according to German numbereing scheme will not be accepted by the input field.

Same applies to the document settings. If i type the scale with comma "," as decimal separator the input is ignored without error. I have to type a dot "." to have the input accepted.

Hello, @4dimage,

Yes, this is a problem in almost all languages that do not follow the same writing format as the English language.

According to the International Bureau of Weights and Measures, as well as the International Organization for Standardization, the only accepted decimal separators are the point and the comma according to the choice of the regional localization used (e.g. the point in English, and the comma in French).

Where numeric input devices (e.g. keypads) are given a full stop or comma, this punctuation must be understood as a decimal separator and converted according to the format specified in the regional format file (e.g. the full stop will be converted to a comma in the French regional format of France, and the comma will be converted to a full stop in the English regional format of the UK).

Mais je vous le demande, peut-on imaginer une police sans sérifs ?
