Mask refine bug persisting from V1

After creating a selection (through Selection Brush, Flood Select or a combination), then refining it using the Refine window, frequently (every 20 clicks or so) AP2 loses the selection altogether.

This happens most notably with the Matte tool, but seems to happen with Foreground and Background tools too.

When using the Matte tool the masking will usually go very blocky; then upon releasing the pointer, instead of taking a second or two to process the matte, AP2 immediately drops the whole selection. Cancelling the Refine process goes back to the pre-Refined selection. This frequently happens many times in a row.

This bug has been around for at least a year in AP1 and is still present in AP2.

Hey thermidor,

We do have a bug report for this, however we have struggled to reproduce it internally. From the info I know, it does seem to happen after x clicks. I've just tried to reproduce this on a large document and after 50 or so clicks, I gave up. Perhaps I'm not working on the right type of document.

Are you editing raw files or other types of images? What bit depth, DPI and image resolution are you working on?
