Mac App Store: Not Submitted
Download: ZIP Download
Auto-update: Not Available

---

We are pleased to announce that the first Affinity Publisher 2 Customer Beta 2.0.3.1674 is now available as a download from the link above.

This beta is an update to the 2.0.0 version recently released to all customers and will form the basis of our first patch for 2.0.0. We recommend that you use this beta in preference to the release version if you are affected by any of the issues listed below.

If this is your first time using a customer beta of an Affinity app, it’s worth noting that the beta will install as a separate app - alongside your store version. They will not interfere with each other at all and you can continue to use the store version for critical work without worry.

Hi Adam, does this beta include the same fix for saving to external drives using Ventura as the 1.10.6 update did?

And the same question for the Windows beta, does it include the recent 1.10.6 fix for the Microsoft updates.

Thanks

All the Ventura fixes in 1.10.6 macOS builds are in the new 2.0.3 macOS betas and the Windows and iPad 1.10.6 fixes were already in 2.0.0 releases

All panels for Palettes, Text Styles, and Assets populated with the same categories, etc. as in Publisher 2.  Only 2 Style categories appeared.  Re "Light UI Improvements" the clear white background for the Styles Panel and the crisp black text is very much appreciated!  Just wish we had the same thing for the Layers Panel.   It would be wonderful if the Layers Panel could be as clear as the Styles Panel.  The Layers panel is quite difficult to work with; dim colors and badly faded layer names.

Should we also report bugs for this beta version that have already been reported for the main version but have not yet been fixed?

Current Active 2.0.3 macOS Customer Betas

[…]

This is a quick patch which fixes some urgent issues and will be a short beta cycle, so we can release this update as soon as possible. The purpose of this beta is to give you an opportunity to try the fixes and report on any possible regressions we may have introduced since the current release 2.0.0. This forums are not for reporting bugs found in the release builds or for telling us what is not yet fixed in this beta. We are also planning a larger update with more fixes and improvements which will beta here in the New Year.
