Affinity Publisher v2 not working

I'm new to Affinity and have just downloaded it onto my windows computer.  Running Windows 10.   When I start Publisher and get the screen to set up the page,

when i click on create that screen and i'm left with a black screen.  I'll be very grateful for any help please

Welcome to the Affinity forums.

Can you post a screenshot of the whole of your black screen please?  I suspect it will be easier for others to help diagnose if we can see exactly what you are seeing.

I agree a screenshot would be helpful. However, it is possible you're having interference from a 3rd-party app, such as nVidia Surround. See this V1 FAQ, for example:

I have attached pic of what I see when i open Publisher. and when i click on create.

 

I am using Nvidia driver for MS Flight sim.

Also a long time user of Serif products. but not in the last couple of years.

Do you have multiple monitors? Do you use nVidia Surround?

Yes I do have multiple monitors (3), will have to check if surround is set in nivida, thanks

Is this the  nVidia surround your on about, does this need changing so just one monitor is used?

I'm not sure. Did you read the FAQ information I linked to earlier in this discussion? That's all I know about it.

(By the way, Windows can make screenshots for you, which is generally better than using a camera. Often this is done using the PrtScrn key, possibly with a modifier, but it depends on your keyboard layout and other software you may be running. The Windows Snipping Tool can also be useful.)
