ihearpao
I have purchased the Affinity V2 Universal license for single use on my existing personal computer (window) and have plans to buy a new one (also window) next year. I would like to ask that when I get the new PC , can I deactivate the license on my old PC then activate the license on my new one to keep using the existing license without licensing problems or buying a new license for the new PC separately? Please advise. Thank you in advance. 🙂
walt.farrell
You won't need to deactivate the license on your old PC, as your Universal license allows you to install on multiple systems at the same time. ihearpao 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.1.2, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.1.

Thanks for your answer ,then if I have installed the applications on more than one window computers, how the applications detect or manage commercial use among the machines which run on Windows operating system? I got this question while reading License agreement on "Your right and permitted use" section, #3 (i). "(i) if you are a private individual, to download, install, use and run for personal use, one (1) copy of the Serif Software directly on each computer running Microsoft Windows (“Windows Computer”) that you personally own or control. Commercial use is permitted but only use by you and not by any other users of any Windows Computers that you own or control. For example, other members of your household that use your Windows Computers may make personal use of the Serif Software whereas, if anyone other than yourself needs to make commercial use of the Serif Software, the other user will need to make a separate purchase." If you have purchased a license as an individual, you are the only person who can use the application for commercial purposes, regardless of how many computers you've installed it on. And you are responsible for complying with that restriction. If you are using it commercially and need multiple commercial users to use it, you need to purchase multiple licenses. ihearpao 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.1.2, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.1.
