saving Files

Im trying to save work so I can make changes later but when using save, save as or export, I cannot erase something or lighten the subject. It does not allow me to modify anything What am I missing.

A more information would be helpful in helping resolve this. Which program are you using and what file format are you working in? Generally if you save in an Affinity native format file you can go back make edits.

When you try Save or Save As, have you first checked “Save History With Document?”  If not, could you try creating a new document, add some content, and then save this way, then see if you can open it and make changes?
