tonyt Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 Hi i am stumped for an easy solution to this. I am using v2 ipad and mac affinity photo latest versions on monterey and ipados latest versions. i am trying to find a way to keep my brushes the same on both platforms. The problem is i modify brushes on both platforms. How can i get the modified brushes from ipad to mac and vice versa and in the right categories I have created on both devices. also, there is another problem. If i modify an ink pen on ipad and another ink pen on mac. If i export the whole category on each, how do i merge them so the newly modified brushes show on each device, if that makes sense? you can tell i am puzzled by this problem and would appreciate some help in getting things organised before i get to far down the line and have to start over! many thanks and cheers… Quote
walt.farrell Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 Keeping them in synch or merging them are not functions with simple solutions. Maybe someday Account can grow into something to allow it, but right now it doesn't. Your only solution today is to export a modified brush on one system and import it on the other. To aid in that, when you have modified a brush or created a new one, you could do this on desktop systems: Create a new brush category (hamburger menu on Brushes panel) Copy your new or changed brush into that category (right-click on the brush, and you'll have that option) Export that category, so you can import it on other systems. On the other systems, import that category, then Move the brush to the category you want it in. However, as far as I can see, step 2 cannot be done on iPad. So for changes made on the iPad you can (I think) only export the complete category, then import the complete category on the other system. That will give you a similarly named category, and on the desktop you could copy the brush to the old category, and delete the new category.
