StudioJason
Didn’t see, so apologies for repost… On Layers Panel… any Text used puts the ‘Paragraph Symbol’ within the Description on Layers Panel. Did not do this before…as I have typed and used Return (end paragraph) while using Art Text prior, without this happening.
Staff Dan C Posted December 9, 2022 Staff Share Posted December 9, 2022 Hi @StudioJason, Thanks for your report and our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here. We are exceptionally busy following the release of V2 and we thank you for your continued patience and understanding here. I can confirm this is by design, in Affinity desktop V1 & V2 the Special Characters are shown in the automatic layer name for text objects, which has now been added to iPad for V2. I hope this helps Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks! Staff Dan C Posted December 9, 2022 Staff Share Posted December 9, 2022 Sorry to hear that - I'll log an improvement with our team to request the option to enable/disable these characters being shown in the Layers Studio for you now 1 minute ago, StudioJason said: So is it also by design that Font Names are in Chinese…instead of what they’re actually named? No, I can confirm this is unfortunately a known issue which has been logged with our team regarding Adobe CC fonts, however I'm not 100% certain of the origin of the font in your screenshot. Can you please confirm for me, how is this font installed on your iPad? (ie a third party font manager, such as Adobe CC, installed through iPadOS settings, or directly within the Affinity app settings?) Many thanks! It is directly from in Affinity App settings…through Preferences > Fonts…occurs in all 3 Affinity V2 Apps, after moderate use, sporadic at first, but now seemingly permanent. Staff Dan C Posted December 12, 2022 Staff Share Posted December 12, 2022 Thanks for verifying that for me - I've tested this here with a few fonts and I'm not seeing the same issue currently, though I do note you mention this was sporadic at first. Can you please confirm for me, what fonts have you installed? Do you recall any specific operations that showed this issue? many thanks once again Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.
