Assets do not work - impossible to insert an asset into the artwork - iPad Pro, Affinity Photo 2

As in the title, it is impossible to insert any asset to my artwork from sets menu. All assets I bought from the Serif store are properly installed. I can see them with no problem, I can creat my own assets too, but inserting whatsoever is not possible. Insert command is greyed out.

Any ideas how to solve if it is not a general issue?

IPad Pro M1, 12,9 with latest iOS

Thank you

From other topics (and my own experience) there seems to be an issue with using Assets that are from packs installed from the Affinity Store using the Account function. When you try, the buttons for Insert and Delete are grayed out.

You should be able to:

  • Drag the asset from the Assets studio onto your document, then resize it.
    or
  • Long-press on the asset in the Assets studio, until it is automatically applied to your document. Then resize it.

For your own assets, some have mentionedthat the Insert button will work, as long as you have not tried to insert an asset from the Store first.

The INSERT/DELETE does not always appear, simply press asset then drag it in.

Thank you Walt for your help.🙏

Both solutions you’ve mentioned work 💯%

Is there a way to repair faulty behavior of the packs installed from the Account?

Hope that deleting and installing manually is not the only option, as I have a bunch of add-ons, it would be fastidious.

Serif Team would want to repair that issue in the near future

Anyway, thanks again for your input. You’ve saved me! 🤩

Not that I know of.

I'm sure Serif will be working on it, but only they know when it might be fixed.

There's one other topic for this that is currently tagged as a bug: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&tags=AFD-6120
