MikeTO Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 I opened AD2 and Zoom wasn't in the default set of tools. I haven't customized AD2's tools yet as far as I recall but I did change icons from colour to mono immediately after installing it. I normally zoom by pinching so it's not surprising that I hadn't noticed it yet. I chose Customize Tools and clicked Reset and Zoom didn't appear. Odd. I added it manually and then clicked Reset and it was removed again. Odd. I went to Preferences and switched to light mode and colour icons. Both zoom tools appeared in light mode without me customizing tools. I chose Customize Tools and clicked Reset and just the stacked Zoom tool remained, this is what I expected to see. I switched back to dark mode and mono icons and just the stacked Zoom tool was there and now I can't duplicate the problem with the missing Zoom tool. Reset works properly now. This feels a bit like the missing table row/column and text ruler issue where toggling something in the UI prefs resets something. Can be customized to be standalone. But I think you figured that out already That it seems to depend on some way on light vs dark UI feels odd. I forgot Zoom was stacked with View, I was having a flashback to another app that stacked separate Zoom In and Zoom Out tools together. I can't remember what app that was now. I never use the Zoom tool but was testing another bug which is why I was looking for it. But yes, the fact that I had different default tool setups in Light Mode and Dark Mode is odd. I wish I'd taken screenshots but Dark Mode/Mono had the stacked tool while Light Mode/Colour had the stacked tool and the separate Zoom tool. I believe that was the only difference between the two. walt.farrell 1 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.5, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)
