Alfred Reinartz Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 Using Affinity Photo for the Olympus RAW I get results which are not really sharp, compared to Olympus Worspace. If I open the RAW file in Affinity Photo the picture has low contrast and it is darker. I export them as TIFF or in the Affinity format for the post processing. I tried V2, but the results are the same. Quote
walt.farrell Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Alfred Reinartz, and apologies for the delayed response. Generally speaking, Affinity presents a RAW file by simply giving you the raw data, leaving it up to you to make it look nice. There are some generic settings you can use to help this, which you can find in the Develop Assistant. For example, it will let you apply a default Tone Curve, which may help brighten things, and it will let you control whether an Exposure Bias is automatically applied. You can review the V1 Help for more info on that: https://affinity.help/photo/en-US.lproj/pages/Raw/raw.html#anchor_assistant Other RAW developers, especially those from a camera manufacturer, apply many more settings from the camera, and will give a better initial view of the image. Affinity Photoooo (and Photo 2) do not do that. Perhaps that explains what you're seeing?
