There is still no way to edit the PDF meta data in Affinity Designer besides switching to Publisher

Recommended Posts

Hello Affinity Team!

I need to address an important missing feature in Affinity Designer.

You can not change the meta data for the file besides switching to Publisher to edit them in the fields settings.

This is a missing feature in Affinity version one and also as i looked into it in the new version two.

Designer exports the file by default with the title used from the initial file name.
When you change the file name the initial title is not changed!

This is really confusing, when working with multiple clients for example and then you can not change the title of the PDF meta, that is visible when opening it in, for example, a pdf viewer.

As i am creating screen designs or logos for example in Designer and export them as PDF, i have no way to change the title of the PDF in Designer.

Please add this fields feature also to the other Affinity versions, much needed! Thanks!

Kind regards,
Daniel
